America’s Plight

Zoby & I were having a discussion on why the most advanced, prosperous country in the world was sinking to such great depths. He said we’re not lacking in resources sitting as we are on the largest oil deposits in the world, or freedom since he could go to college, or work or be a stay at home zebra & no one would hinder him in any of these ventures. We agreed that it was purely power mad politics. Why else would all true job opportunities be denied or given to other countries (ex. oil drilling going to Brazil & pipeline going to Canada, production of areas of Apple Corp. Going over seas, etc?) If we are crippled enough we will have to rely on government whether we like it or not. We’re losing the middle class slowly but surely. Soon it will be rich or poor only. Why is it big businesses & the rich (the ones providing most of our jobs) need to be taxed to the hilt when congressional members earning millions are exempt? Just saying. We need to get out as a people much like the colonists did with England and revolt. I feel if they ignore our voices & votes we need to physically do something like throw them out. Zoby says I’m an extremist but he’ s sympathetic to my feelings. I did notice that he couldn’t name an option at this time. In case you didn’t recognize him, that’s Zoby below. He usually wears glasses when we have these talks because there’s usually reading involved.

More Early Re-election Hype

I have to comment on the questionably documented president’s (notice that president is NOT capitalized) new job stimulus proposal or rather lack thereof.  Nothing in this latest speech stated anything positive that would be done other than more spending.  The man does not have a creative bone in his body (unless you count proficient lying) to even make up anything!  Since around half of the first stimulus hasn’t been spent yet (where is it by the way?) why should we want to pass a bill for him to spend even more on nothing? Fortunately this time around even his own party doesn’t approve of this  and from what I’ve seen in the grapevine his approval rating has dropped considerably to where he is only 5 points ahead of Sarah Palin and she isn’t even trying to run for President…..yet!

Explaining the Obvious Amid the Media’s Claim of Racism

Recently in the news great hub-bub has been heard regarding Rush Limbaugh calling our questionably documented president a “Tar Baby”.  How like the Media to take a comment out of context when a conservative says something!  Actually Rep. Doug Lamborn said it and Rush repeated it.  Yes, he did call him that but people obviously do not remember what a tar baby is!  It is not a euphemism or slur for a black person.  Rather the tar baby (from the wonderful stories by Joel Harris regarding his ficticious character Uncle Remus, who by the way, was black-see picture below) was a trap.  It looked like a person but was constructed out of tar and turpentine by Brer Fox to trap Brer Rabbit.  A Tar Baby is referring to a trap, something that looks normal or good but when you get involved with it (much like Brer Rabbit striking the Tar Baby) you find yourself caught in it.  The harder you try to extricate yourself from it the more trapped you become. This is much like all of Obama’s plans. They sounded good to many Americans (not me!) in the beginning but as time went on people realized that they were unstable and destructive to America. Now they are too deeply imbedded in them to get out.  I agree with Rush. Most definitely Barack Husseim Obama is a Tar Baby in the worst way.

 

Uncle Remus was a story teller created by Joel Harris (b1848-d1908) from his memories of the old share croppers and slaves on the plantation when he was a boy.  Mr. Harris wrote his stories in the natural dialect of that time and they are wonderful and fun to read with excellent moral applications. Maybe Mr. Obama should read them? If we put them on a teleprompter?

One in particular that caught my attention today was the group Shari’ah 4 America on their plans for Our Statue of Liberty. The Islamic Demolition of the Statue of Liberty — Shariah 4 America

In their view, the Statue of Liberty is symbolic of the rebellious nature of the US Constitution that elevates the command of man over the command of God. In Islam, the public veneration of idols and statues is strictly prohibited. This has forced sincere Muslims to develop realistic(?) plans that will aid in the removal of the Statue of Liberty.
Due to the scale of the task at hand, it is highly likely that rigorous safety checks will need to be employed before the demolition of the Statue of Liberty can commence; thus as a temporary measure, it is proposed that a large burkha is used to cover the statue, thereby shielding this horrendous eye sore from public view as well as sending a strong message to its French creators.
Post demolition, it is recommended that a minaret be built as a fitting replacement, allowing the glorification of God to be proclaimed daily as well as act as a powerful reminder of the superiority of Islam over all other ways of life.
