Zoby made his peace with me finally. I told him that the toys I got for Christmas were for him from his aunt & uncle. He had a lot of fun with the Lego set as you can see.

He got a kick out of the little kaleidescope too.

I don’t usually give in to sulking but I was wrong to forget taking him with me so we’re good with this.

I went to Amazon.com & typed in “How the Ladybug Got Her Spots“. It is a sweet little story written by Caren Green & artfully illustrated by Bethany Goossen. I recommend you download this & read it to your little ones. The cost is only .99 cents, definitely a good buy!
Still Sulking Zebra

Last week I went to Illinois to visit the kids & I was supposed to bring Zoby so he could visit his cousins. In the hustle to leave, guess who was left behind? Now I have a still sulky zebra even after a week & many apologies. He is ignoring me here by pretending to be reading my new book, Pearls Before Swine

I tried 3 times to get his picture to send to his cousins, Guiseppi, Freddie & Perfect but he kept turning away from the camera so this is the best I could do. Sorry guys. Lesson to learn from this is when you go to visit family, don’t forget & leave your kid behind!

I got to visit my kids for Christmas this year & my daughter surprised me with a Baked Alaska dessert (my first!) Unfortunately
I didn’t think to get a picture before we cut it but you can see the yumminess of it still.

Here is a sliced piece where you can get a glimpse of the chocolate brownie, cookie dough ice cream layer & a ton of meringue. It was great (and I think I spelled meringue wrong). It was still “delish” and I am sure, decadently caloric and quite worthy of a couple extra pounds!
Really Neat Billboard

One of the best billboards I’ve seen in a long time. I saw this on my drive home from Illinois this past weekend. I guess it’s an ad for a new movie. Don’t really care just glad to see such a fanciful zebra billboard.

Oooooooooh, magic……….I got a butterfly in a jar for Christmas! It’s not a real butterfly of course but it sure looks real. Beans is beside herself and wants that thing in the jar badly! They also made fireflies in a jar but I really wanted the butterfly.

Isn’t she adorable? She is named Pippi Longstocking for obvious reasons. This little girl is a cross between a donkey and a zebra. I want one!

Autumn in PA

I usually take scenic pictures of the hills because the multicolored trees are so pretty. This time I focused on separate trees. I took these pictures this past month. Wow, Fall in Pennsylvania almost makes this state worth living in. It’s gorgeous. God is still the greatest artist I know!
Yum!

Wanted to share a yummy recipe a friend gave me. It’s meatballs (either homemade or store bought) cooked in a sauce made of grape jelly and chili sauce! It really is excellent. You take a jar of grape jelly, mix it with a bottle of chili sauce, mild or hot, and cook them together until well mixed. Generic doesn’t matter. Cook your meatballs however you normally would then mix them in a crockpot or saucepan with the mix and simmer for a half hour and that’s it. Nice and easy, yum!
